Vacations

I'm chilling a bottle of Bedell Cellars 2009 First Crush White as we speak. I may enjoy a glass of that as I sit on the back deck of the vacation rental and watch Bug Lighthouse twinkle off in Orient Harbor. Or I may drive out to Orient point and see where this Long Island ends. That is of course all after I walk slavishly late; meandered through a delicious soup and sandwhich at Bruce's Cheese Emporium and Cafe (to watch the people and traffic and the main turn in Greenport); headed to Mattituck for a CVS run of beach essentials; and finally wandered in to Bedell for a LONG tasting of several fabulous bottles from Reva.

Also picked up some local intel on the live music and wine at their sister vineyard tomorrow. Complete with the wood-fired pizza truck...yes, that is correct.

These vacations...they're okay...
