Local Flowers

Not what you thought it was going to be from the title, is it?

It's Smooth Ambler gin. And it's from Lewisburg, WV.

This stuff is floral. Seriously. Seems mom prefers more Juniper berry and less flower. I'm just fine with this, on the rocks, with a lime. No tonic required.

Seems the gents at Smooth Ambler have a vodka too, and there's talk in the area that they're getting ready to put out a white lightning (young whiskey that hasn't gained any coloration from aging in barrels) and eventually a bourbon too. I know what I'll be getting in my stocking this Christmas!

Oooh, I have to keep my eyes open and see if it makes it this far north. All of those sound intriguing, let me know how they are!

The vodka is butter. And caramel. And amazing. It needs nothing but ice, and would in fact be un-tasty if mixed with much of anything.
