Excellent piece in today's NY Times on small farms in Iowa.

I'm not done with The Omnivore's Dilemma yet, but I know after getting halfway through that I care almost as much about the process by which my food gets to me as I care about the process by which I cook it.

I can't wait to visit Mom at the farm this summer when another 'less than 1/4 acre' garden/farm is in production. Man those are going to be good meals.
