The First Supper

First meal in the new place was informed by Chez sharing this from Serious Eats on Tuesday morning.

We googled and searched and came up with this as our noodle dish and I promptly forgot to take the printed recipe with me to the store.

So it was a hybrid with coconut milk and red curry paste and good-looking veggies from the yuppie Kroger. Asparagus, squash, zuchinni, wild mushrooms, orange bell pepper, red onion, garlic, and ginger. Pour it all over angel hair. Siracha sauce and scallions on top.

Shared it with Chez, BGJ, and the Herbert. Couldn't have asked for better company.

Traded a leftover bit for half a sirloin cheesesteak at Sam's later.

I win.

WE LOVE ASPARAGUS. Only in the past year have we gotten the kids to eat them. We started out by telling them they were "special green beans." Tonight, after the girls went to bed, a certain Scrabble lover and her 10-year-old son had a late, home-cooked dinner date: blackened salmon, steamed asparagus, and parmesan & romano rice. Simple...and delicious.

We. Love. Asparagus.
